FAQ
It depends! Because we plan, design, build and launch each website custom, it really depends on a lot of factors. Some of the considerations that go into our pricing strategy includes: how complex is the website? How quickly do you need it? What will the website need to do? How vital is it to your business operations?
As a frame of reference, we’ve created websites for $20,000, and for $150,000+, and everywhere in between.
Sure, we technically can do that, but we’re probably not the right fit for you. Although we’ve got amazing developers on our team, we find we do our best work when we’re designing the solution end-to-end: our developers are integral to the design process, and work in tandem with our designers and strategists.
If you’ve already got everything all worked out, and you just “need it done”, we’re not the right fit. There’s lots of great shops out there that focus more on this kind of work, and we’d be happy to recommend some to you.
Yep! We say it all the time.
A typical engagement with us lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months, and longer. We can do shorter engagements as well, where we’ll utilize a sprint-based approach to rapidly prototype some design ideas on an existing product or platform.
In most cases, it’s better to scrap an existing website and rebuild. Because there’s so much design-thinking that goes into a new website, as well as changes in technologies and methodologies, a 5 year-old site is usually not worth “tweaking”, and you’d be better served rethinking your website from the ground up. This opens up new opportunities for us to build a new website that’s tailored to your needs, your goals, and your vision for your brand.
Yes we do! We create logos as part of a larger brand strategy engagement that produces a full family of logos, brand assets, messaging and style guides. This typically dovetails with a digital strategy that defines the brand across your website and social media channels. If you just need a one-off logo, we’re probably not the best fit for you.
No! And don’t trust anyone who promises that you to. We agree: SEO is very important, and we bake sound SEO strategy into every website we build. However, to see real results, there has to be an on-going plan in place that continuously works to improve a website’s rankings. If you’re serious about getting great search results, we can help you get there, but it’s more about rolling up our sleeves and not waving a magic wand.
We do, but it’s typically part of a larger digital engagement. Making things for screens is really where we shine!
Sure, but to be honest, we don’t really like RFPs. We build deep relationships with our clients, and that relationship starts when we are exploring partnerships with new partners. We know that you're not just hiring a design firm, you’re hiring people. We need to make sure we’re a good fit for each other, and RFPs tend to put a wall between us and you, making it very difficult for either side to get a feel for the other.
We do! Especially if it’s for a cause we can connect with and get excited about.
