Adobe hosted a Creative Jam last Friday at District Hall, bringing some of the best of Boston’s creative community together for an evening of presentations and friendly competition. We were honored to be invited to participate in the creative competition.
We were tasked to create a design based on the theme “Everything isn’t as it seems” within a breakneck 3-hour tournament. As the huge, imposing clock on the wall in front of us ticked down, it was a whirlwind of brainstorming, sketching, and agonizing over font choices.
Our design was inspired by the tendency of our imagination to distort shadows into more sinister forms. In this case, it’s a child’s teddy bear turned into a knife-wielding monster.
While we didn’t win, we did place a respectable third-place in the “people’s choice”, and we loved the challenge. Needless to say, we were inspired and humbled by all the designs at the event, and really impressed at what the other designers were able to produce in such a short amount of time. You can check out the winners and all the other fantastic designs on the Adobe Creative Jam Behance page.
