Great Showdowns: a book by Scott C.

Since the beginning of time, there has been struggle.. These are the GREAT SHOWDOWNS!

A new book  of illustrations has just been released by the great Scott C. It is a collection of watercolors from his tumblr which chronicle the epic confrontations from movie mayhem which are depicted in a simple and dare I say cute way.. Protaganist and antagonist standing opposed waiting for battle.

It’s Joe vs the Volcano, Gomer Pyle vs Joker, Clark Griswold vs a ball of Xmas lights. Its Ash vs his evil monster girlfriend, Danny vs the twins and the Dude, Walter and Donny vs Jesus. There are tons of battles to look at here as well as process sketches and other often film related illustrations. You can buy prints and paintings here: Gallery1988 in LA.

Here are some faves!

“Stop swingin’ the bat. Put the bat down, Wendy. Wendy?
Give me the bat…”

“No, you’re not thinkin’. You’re too busy being a smart aleck
to be thinkin’. Now I want ya to “think” and stop bein’ a smart aleck.
Can ya try that for me?”

“Hey, there’s something down here… ”

“This is my rifle! There are many like it, but this one is mine!”

“I think I’ll go embarrass myself with Goose.”

Something is passing between them all, some secret.
It’s a conspiracy, I know it.”

is so low, yet the accident rate is so high? ”

“I know exactly what to do.”

those flushed cheeks, those trembling lips. You know something Princess?
You are ugly when you’re angry.”
