Yesterday the ICS team beat the heat and headed over to the MFA to check out the contemporary artist Alex Katz. Katz is a renowned artist known for his bold and colorful works that focus on the simplicity of human forms and landscapes. His mediums vary from painting to aquatint, lithograph, woodcut, and screen print.
Most of my favorite pieces featured his main muse (his wife Ada) but I also enjoyed his latest pieces where Katz experiments more with abstract lines and shapes.
