You have seen them and played with them. They allow you to see from a fresh perspective and discover new relationships. Interactive visualization techniques been used to shed new light on the Euro Debt Crisis, tracking US Elections tweets and analyzing sentiment for the UK Olympics.

Rather than directing you to these examples, I’d like to share with you one of the sources of these visualizations.

His name is Mike Bostock. Mike has created an open-source JavaScript library on his GitHub page. The library is called D3. He provides the source code, tutorials and examples for you to create your own visualizations.
